For someone else!
I've been thinking about being a surrogate for quite awhile now and hubby and I finally decided to go for it. We are definitely done with our three kids and I can't wait to begin this process. I already have an agency, which comes highly recommended from a friend of mine who was a surro through them.
I submitted my application yesterday and spoke a lot with them today. At this point I cannot proceed just yet because I'm still nursing. So my next step is to get on a low-dose BCP to help regulate my cycles because I need to have had three normal ones and I've only had one since giving birth. Once that is established and I'm no longer nursing, I can proceed to the next steps, which would be the in-depth phone interview and then flying out for a screening and evaluation by their RE. If everything checks out okay then I can proceed to being matched with an Intended Parent(s).
I have no idea when I'll be done nursing, it'll be up to Avonlea, but she's following Beckett's pattern pretty closely so I doubt she'll nurse much past a year. We'll see. I'm excited.
